We are planning to travel to Zakynthos / Laganas for holiday. If you have been there, can you give me some useful tips about the motorbike – motorboat rental or other useful hints?

First don’t forget your license for bike. If you haven’t one maybe you can rent a very “small engine” bike (50cc) with your car license. Motorboat needs a license only if its engine is “bigger” than 15hp. Most of motorboats have an engine about 8-15hp. You can rent a boat at Laganas beach to go to the next beaches. BUT in Zakynthos there is the home place of sea turtles “Careta-careta” .Laganas beach and some other beaches next are the egg-laying area of careta-careta. You cannot go by boat in many beaches around Laganas and when you go you must follow the instructions. If you are lucky maybe you see small young new born turtles (which just have left their eggs) trying to reach see!
Go to Keri village and by boat to Marathonisi .
Go to Agios Nicolas (Volumes) a nice village
Visit Byzantine museum in Zakynthos town and the old churches.
Don’t miss an excursion in Blue caves (amazing blue see water) and Navagio beach (ship wreck beach) .
(If you go by your boat go there early the morning before tourists. In Navagio beach, try for swimming the small beach which is next to the big beach, at the left, it isn’t so crowded)
